Just wanted to post up and reintroduce everyone to Tarheel 4WD Center. We have been open since 1990 servicing the 4x4 performance needs of the Charlotte area and beyond. We are also your Charlotte area Line-X bedliner dealer/installer.

We have some new staff members that expand our list of skills and we are working on a bunch of new things to serve our customers.

Tarheel 4WD Center carries some of the best brands in the business and we can take care of any service you need from simple maintenance to lift installation and custom axle fabrication.

Give us a shout and we will do our best to take care of you. We will be working on some new promotions specifically for NC4x4 members as well.

Like us on Facebook!

We look forward to working with everyone!

welcome

Been doing business with these guys for 20+ years.
Awesome folks to deal with!

Made a few wasted trips to this shop, only to not have the parts they said they had or to be quoted prices differently every conversation, 4 trips have been made to 4 wheel parts after leaving tarheel 4wd.

Didnt act like they cared about doing any business. Just my 2 cent

Sorry to hear you had an issue and felt that way, shoot me a PM or give us a call if we can help you on a future project. We have had some staff turn over in the past few months so that may have been an issue. Thanks.

Tarheel is on that there interwebs!! Sweet.

You guys have been good to me since the mid 90's. Thanks!

Man, they had parts nobody said a 4x4 shop would stock! Kept my Jeep up and going in a pinch and even on a Saturday! Ya may spend a few dollars more, but its nice to know the parts are there when needed!

I've never had a problem there, I get my odd ball AMC parts from them. If not that day they would have it the next. Ron is who I've always dealt with. The guy who had the rock pile near Denver used to? still does? work there - it's been awhile.

I bet I've bought from them longer than most of you, I started using them when it was about 2 miles north of it's present location.

Nah that guy works out of his garage now. I just had him swap my clutch a few weeks ago. Did it for $200 and I supplied the parts. Cool guy. The rock garden looks extreme though. He was trying to get me to run it to blow up my D35 since I'm swapping in a 8.8.

Here's a thread about his shop: http://www.nc4x4.com/forum/index.php?threads/schwabes-off-road-service-center-iron-station-nc.60607/

As a business owner I know how hard it can be to remember each customer, to quote everyone the same, and make everyone feel they got the attention they deserved. Ive made people upset and ran off customers, I assure you it was never intentional and was a byproduct of being busy or having new employees or being unorganized. I would give these folks another shot and take into consideration all the behind the scenes work that takes place to make a business sucessfull. Also if you didn't express these conversion to management or the owner you have no right to talk badly of them, if they don't see problems they can't fix them. Sorry for the rant.
