I've finally got something I can take over to URE. I've never been before. It is not titled/registered/insured. I doubt I can get all that done before the end of the year, as it is a trail rig as it sits. I've heard that the forest roads are illegal without the truck being registered, etc. I am wondering from you all in similar situations if that is the case, and how I might be able to run the trails without getting on any of the roads (if possible). Any info is appreciated. I'm not keen on tickets or fines. Thanks all.

yes that is true. the forest road laws are just like any other paved road or hwy. just last week when I was over there I saw a rig get pulled over for just this reason. there are places to park at trailheads that you can unload your rig and go straight to the trail without being on the road. probly one of the best is at the falls dam trail head where the mud pit is, there is lots of room for unloading and such. if you need a map just keep looking in this section of threads, copy and print.

My rig is not tagged or insured either, i usually start at the bottom of daniels, hit rocky mount loop, and then hit all the easier trails, then back down daniels on the way out.

your probably better off unloading at wolfs den, or the parking lot near there where the big mud hole is. you'll have access to all the trails but Daniel.
