I'm looking to get some input on a long term project. 78 f250 chassis that will have some 6" procomp superduty springs so it will net 7 inches ish of lift with my big block in the front of it. I may take a leaf out if its way too much.

Out back I'm in a toss up. It has 3 inch wide springs and my goal is to try and have a nice riding suspension for what it is. So heres my two options.
1. Newer ford rear springs, 2wd front hanger, shackle flip and see where that puts me. Then either shim or cut perches to get my pinion angle right and if its an inch or so off put a small block in it. Or if I use factory schackle stuff fliped I could go with a longer shackle to get it where it meeds to be.

Option 2. Chevy 63 inch springs and the same princable as above.

Overal goal is junk yard parts or easy cheap stuff, as in maybe some rear pro comp lift springs. Id like to not run a block, and it be flexy to ride ok. I know its not a new truck, but if lift it id like to improve the ride vs a stiff aal and block.

So, what would you do and why?

I've had good results with the 63s. What for springs are you referring to? 56"s?

An example ive seen is a 2009 rear superduty spring. 58 ish inches long and 3 inches wide. Same perches, hangers and all that. Use a longer 2wd front hanger and move it to keep the rear centered.

Then either splurger for a heavy duty rear hanger flip or flip some factory stuff. I'm leaning towards factory stuff for mock up and then see if I need a longer shackle when going with a rough stuff kit to even the back out.

I'd say the superduty springs would be way too stiff

I've got a set of 63s you could get real cheap.

The only downfall I see to 63s is swapping stuff over to 2.5 wide leafs vs 3.

Croatan kid, if they aren't taking up alot of space that could sway my decision. Problem is I'm on the other side of the world again till spring time.

They'll still be here, I'm sure.

Where you at? Oki?

Nope, sure don't.
