Ignorant answer is kill them all. Truthfully everyone you kill probably propels family, friends to join the cause to get vengeance for the lost friend or family.

You cant defeat an ideology with force. It takes education.
Poor and Dumb people are easy to control. Large majority groups of poor and dumb can even influence educated and middle class (see Germany circa 1935)

I mean sure, we can bomb them back to the stone ages. But then what?

Lest we all forget, a whole bunch of wrong has been done in the name of Christianity as well. (I think there are some significant and nuanced differences there; dont want to derail just using a familiar analogy)
