Passing back through for the Holiday, hangin' w/ friends and family.

Today I have had great barbecue from Allen & Sons in Chapel Hill w/ Hush Puppies, about a half gallon of sweet tea, and now enjoying a Highland Brewing Co. Oatmael Porter.
It's so awesome being able to walk into a grocery and buy beer. And most people don't drive like maniacs.

Been a good day.

Unfortunately I have "baby duty" Friday or I'd try and tag along for a URE ride, that would be the perfect cap.

If you stop coming through Winston, holler. We should really introduce the chillluns! Happy Thanksgiving, bud. And you know we'll welcome you back when you're ready.

I hear you there. Most MD drivers I encounter on the roads around here drive like %$#holes.
Welcome back.

So, yeah... up where I live (NE corner) most of the roads have wide shoulders.
It's pretty well understood that the shoulder is a passing lane.
E.g. car stops to turn L on 2-lane road, people pass on the shoulder w/o even slowing down.

3 times yesterday, we were on country roads stopped behind somebody and my wife had to remind me I couldn't do that here, lol.

Unfortunately, we aren't making it that far west. Originally we were going to, but just couldn't fit it into the schedule.
Came down 85 through Chapel Hill yesterday, currently hanging out in Southern Pines w/ wife's (crazy-ass) family for T-day, then once she finishes shopping and wasting all my money tomorrow morning, we head up through Raleigh and on to Lake Gaston, makin' "friends stops" along the way, to hang w/ my fam until Sunday. First time they've seen the baby.
I have to fly to FL Mon morning for work so we couldn't dally too long.

X2. Great to be back in NC!

ATL is supposed to be a big fancy city, but really, its just a giant pain in the rear.

Come back to Charlotte, relaxed, can actually get from one side of the city to the other without trouble and lots of BBQ.
