nissan procession

ok any idea what years they might have come in?i thought i knew a lot about nissans i been driven them sincei was 16 almost 16 years damn i'm getting old:)

Hilux, the earlier trucks have a 3.0 V6. Same family as your 3.3 though, and 90 percent of parts will interchange. However mine has the less desirable TBI as opposed to MPFI; iirc.

Bagged; what part are you referring to?

i was referring to the 720 transfercase are they all that way ? i thought about doing a sas on my 95 but its 2wd so i'll need every thing for the swap and if the 720 t-case is
divorced that would be better than a trans swap also

Yep, they're all divorced. A short prop shaft will be needed, but they're easy enough to get made up. If you can score the driveshafts it'll be easier too, wont have to source yokes.

I gave a $100 for mine, if I recall correctly.

thanks for the info i guess i'll start hitting the junk yards:)

What in the world is there to do to these things?
if you are talking about the 3.3...not much. intake, headers, cam, custom exhaust with high flow cats (or cat delete for offroad applications). i also got rid of the clutch fan and went with dual electrics to free up a little power. otherwise...i have seen one turbo 3.3 but I have no idea how much boost he was running and the stock injectors and fuel pump could not keep up. i suggested the larger supercharged 3.3 injectors, but I never heard if he went that route or not.

IMHO...gearing is your friend. leave the motor realatively stock and it'll last a long time. its built very heavy and really its over kill, but it'll do fine bouncing off the rev limiter all day.

Houdini; did you notice any seat-of-the-pants difference once you swapped to electric fans? Ive got one sitting around but havnt gotten around to installing it

Small update+ info for anyone watching. My truck originally came with a bench seat. Great for the ladies, but it was uncomfortable and sucked offroad. I grabbed a pair of bucket seats from a Mitsu 3000gt from the junkyard and installed them.

ai585.photobucket.com_albums_ss297_CiscoKidsB2_IMG_0376.jpg

They fit really well, were adjustable and very comfortable. But because they are well bolstered after, I realized they make the tiny cab feel even smaller. So I swapped in a set of Pathfinder buckets.

No pics yet, but they bolt into factory holes, and adjust back farther than the Mitsu's (i'm ~6'2") Highly recommend this to anyone with a pickup

I also started fab'n a center console. Its going to house my CB, cup holders, and various switches(winch relay power, elec fan, aux lights)

Still needs sides, but I think its turing out pretty well for just a HF angle grinder and lincoln buzz box.

nah...not from just the fan swap. i did however notice a little difference after the intake and exhasut work. exhaust is 2" mandrel bent cat-back with duel in and single out flowmaster 40. better passing on the highway and better at high rpms, but no real difference at low rpms.

well i've gotten a few things done on the trucks since the last update, I got the red truck running and driving again, only to have it die on me again, gonna tear the engine down to the heads and try and figure that out.

Took the DD to URE with my buddy's YJ. Everything went fine for me, he put his fan through his radiator, after a white knuckle drive back to camp and quick trip to town we had a replacement.

Pathfinder let me down

So I took this

Since then I finished my center console, pictures to come later...
After having a 17ft canoe on my (near)worthless roof rack I decided to build a better one with the Harbor Freight Bender I got for Xmas.

still need to run 2 bars to connect the 2 main hoops, but the brackets are 1/4" and 8" long with 6 bolts per hoop, its not going anywhere. Pretty happy with how it turned out considering it was built on the porch of my duplex with a 220v stick welder and $0

Man I'm a fan of the old school Nissan power got me a 95 altima that I want to do a 5 speed swap to. I've had a bunch of maxima's 86 5 speed wagon 87 5 speed with a 88 vg30eT swap that I used to smoke mustangs & camaros in. I also had a 97 se automatic & 2002 se 5 speed. My buddy has a 2 tone chamelon blue top silver bottom 240 coupe with a S13 Silvia front end Sr20 swap cams & GT35r turbo.

check the 02 sensor on the random misfire had the same thing happen to my ram and thats what it was...

Dear 95YJ, is this you? looks like your Jeep, broken down, because you felt radiator hold-downs were for posers and mall crawlers

Small update, moved into a new place with a garage/basement. Got the truck pulled in and the bed pulled, cleaned the t case and made up some mounts. Still have to build a front cross member for the tcase and make the driveshafts
ai585.photobucket.com_albums_ss297_CiscoKidsB2_IMG_1578.jpg

ai585.photobucket.com_albums_ss297_CiscoKidsB2_IMG_1569.jpg

had to find a way to adapt a small obscure Nissan flange pattern to a useable pattern

nice nissans, im lookin forward to this tcase mount i have an 84 720 that i plan on SASin and im thinking of clocking the case to help with driveshaft angles

Small update, I needed to build a crossmember for the t case, went to Tractor Supply and bought a piece of 3/16's by 1.25" and bent it in the vise, I wasnt happy with it, but was going settle until my dad called and talked some sense into me, so I went to the scrap yard and got a 10 foot piece of 3x 1/2" steel, but I dont have a torch or a press. Enter my harbor freight pipe bender, I just pulled the dies off and it bent it without a whimper
ai585.photobucket.com_albums_ss297_CiscoKidsB2_IMG_1614.jpg

Old crossmember vs New, should only hang about 2" below the frame and be the basis for a skidplate
Sidenote, I found a Jerry can in the scrap yard too, brought it home and restored it. Its stamped May of '83 USMC

Got the mounts finished up, t case hanging under its own weight. The drive shaft had "unserviceable" U Joints, but one was bad, so I pounded them out and im replacing them with non-application car quest joints. Gotta shorten one drive shaft and lengthen another then she'll be rolling

Nice, Nissan really made these trucks with out any suspension modification in mind haha, but the more work you put into it the more you appreciate it.

The T-case is hanging under its own weight and I got my rear driveshaft made. Just waiting on 1 u joint for the intermediate shaft. Unfortunately I also noticed that my rear leaf bushings are TRASHED, working with a budget of $0 has its drawbacks.

Also still needing a set of leaf springs for the front, if anyone is in WNC and wants to donate a set (any make/model) id trade them labor or good karma.

Rear drive shaft is a pathy front shaft re-tubed to lengthen it a few inches

Also got a new toy, made welding the driveshafts WAAAAYYYY easier than the old Buzz Box
ai585.photobucket.com_albums_ss297_CiscoKidsB2_IMG_1647.jpg

Got her driving again, took it up and down the street in 2low. Was pretty neat considering how long ive been planning this. Time to get the ball rolling.
I stripped and painted the floors, seats were still wet from cleaning and I wanted to drive it
ai585.photobucket.com_albums_ss297_CiscoKidsB2_IMG_1652.jpg

ai585.photobucket.com_albums_ss297_CiscoKidsB2_IMG_1648.jpg

And started the rear spring over
ai585.photobucket.com_albums_ss297_CiscoKidsB2_IMG_1662.jpg

Got the front IFS stripped, Rear spring over done, picked up new to me rims from a member on here. I had two sets of six lug rims and neither cleared the d44.
