ok, so as some of you guys know i was in Ohio over the summer and just got back home at thanksgiving, well i worked at pt job at buckle while i was there. so once i got back home i called, gave my manager my address to mail me my check. which i think was the 28th. well earlier in Nov. i filled out a direct deposit form and i had gotten my last check for the sunday before thanks that i worked like that. i called them sunday, and told them i havent gotten my check and they said it was mailed out like a week ago and wasnt in store, and ive yet to get it, and its almost been a month, what should i do? i mean, calling them is useless if they dont have it in the store...right?

Tell them to put a stop payment on that check and issue another. Also have them send it UPS/FedEx with a tracking #. Also, so there is no issues - let them know they can deduct the $10 stop payment fee as well as the ~$7 UPS fee. They shouldn't be able to balk at that.

Yes - but what if the check finally shows up? It clears any trust issues knowing you can't cash two checks. Also, if it was stolen it protects them from paying twice.
