:confused:I sank my Rodeo in a mud pond at URE, and every since then the oil pressure gauge is reading 0 pressure. I only let it run in small sessions just in cause there is something wrong. No sounds coming from moter. Suggestions? Hints? Prayers? All with be:confused: thankful

x2 on the sending unit, maybe a short at contacts, but they give trouble when mixed with water.

I'd concentrate on the gage wiring. If it runs, pop valve cover and if oil pumps through rockers, it's definately the gage. If no oil pumping then prepare to replace crank bearings. More than likely it's the gage... Only thing to cause a bearing to go bad would be if sediment entered the oil and scratched a journal. But your oil dipstick would tell that tale.

I had a similar situation with my Durrango this weekend (I didn't sink it in the URE pond) but the low Oil pressure light came on and would not go off(it does not have a pressure guage). I went to advance and got a mechanical guage for $17 and installed it with the oil light still on I had 80 PSI oil pressure at idle when cold. Turned out the oil pressure switch was bad.

My recomendation is to change your oil and replace your sending unit!
