Below is a copy-paste sent to us by email from our club President. If you could, please read it and get back with us!
Hey NOAS Crew,
We have a problem. It's come to my attention that there's been a SNAFU with the booking of the campsite for our annual Uwharrie run. It got booked out from under us so that a corporate sponsored jeep jamboree could be hosted there that weekend.
As such, we have 3 options:
1. Instead of our usual site at Riverbend, we can use the open field across from the Outpost. This would unfortunately mean No showers, porta-johns for toilets, and no pavilion for shade during the day... Also a TON of jeeps and jeep people all weekend
(no offense Kevin
)
2. Instead of our usual site at Riverbend, we can try to book individual campsites that people can share. This would mean that we won't have a centralized or communal "club" spot for evening meals or hangouts, but we would have access to the campsites facilities. Also, jeeps... lots of jeeps...
3. We can move the date back by one weekend to the 9-12th of October. Which would mean we get to keep our usual campsite with the pavilion, showers, and NOT be at Uwharrie with a plethora of jeeps all weekend
Please reply to this thread which option you would prefer.
Thanks, and I look forward to seeing you out on the trails in a few months!
