Last pair was a Wolverine Floor Hand, previous before that was an older Wolverine pair similar to the Hellcat I got from Bass Pro Shops.

The Floor Hand's are wasted in less than a year of daily use driving a roll back for AAA. Shoe string eyelet hooks are spinning in place, I've got rocks stuck in the sole where tread buttons were, tread is split where my toes flex, Shoe lace sheath is stripped back and the tread is gone. Overall im not happy with the quality control or the longevity of the boots for the 100.00 I spent. I'm considering stripping the soles and gluing some tire tread to the bottom at this point.

I'm not a sneaker head by any means, and I hate cloth shopping on a whole because I don't understand why everything costs so much despite being made in the same South East Asian Sweat shops. I don't care where its made, and I'm not buying something just because USA is on it. I need a quality product for a respectable price that's going to work as hard as I do. If mfgs. could make boots like NTN, NSK, or JTEKT(Koyo) make bearings this wouldn't be a problem.

Does anyone have a recommendation for an Anti Slip (oil resistant), Flexible sole, Steel Toe, Work boot? If the boots can be sent back to the mfg. for a recondition/retread even better. I'm just tired of shelling out money for boots that don't last longer than foreplay at the in-laws house.

Keen makes a decent all terrain steel toe shoe and boot. My favorite to use in fab shop and industrial construction has been red wing. Not cheap but has a decent warranty and has lasted longer than most.

I currently have wolverine but only because the red wing style I used to like a lot was discontinued and I needed something then and now. I’d buy my wolverines again. They are comfortable and have lasted pretty well considering the abuse I’ve given them.

Carolina makes awesome boots. My last 2 pair have been carolina, and I'm not so patiently waiting for my new ones to show up. I wear the Girder model or the actuator model (one is a concrete floor tread and one is a grippier tread) with composite toes. I alternate which model I get so that I one of each depending on what site I'm at.

I've gotta go with keen. While in most brands I require a 3E or 4E width, the 2E keens I just got are working out well so far. These are my second pair, first ones were 4E and an absolute perfect fit.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't more conflicted about brands after reading through that thread, but I did send an email with a few questions to White's asking about their Sawyer and Millwright work boot models.

Between that thread link and this one I've seen alot of Keen support, Any specific model favorites? Milwaukee, Louisville? Mt. Vernon?
