The Collettsville area typically floods in a heavy rain, but the news is reporting 4" of rain has fallen in two hours! Roads north of Hwy 18 are all closed. I hope all are safe. I love driving around this quiet area.

That seems to be the NORM, for anywhere on the East coast, last 2 weeks. Same happened in Charlotte, last Thursday, & CTB, just returned from Salem, VA. The New River, & all of Va., is under flood warnings, too!

That whole area is where I drive around when I have a day off. I have a cabin on Brown Mountain Beach Road and they constantly have to close the entire road down because Wilson's Creek Creates white water rapids across the gravel road which would result in immediate death if you even attempted to pull into the edge of it lol.
