Well, it is Monday again. I woke up this morning and rolled over in the bed and I felt a disc in my back move and my legs went numb. I laid still for a few minutes then started to slowly move around and it popped back in place and all was well. While I was laying there trying to reconnect with my lower extremities I asked my wife to make a pot of coffee.
Finally, got int to the kitchen and poured a cup of coffee and it was cold. Wife had unplugged my Bunn to plug in a blender. So I plugged it in and waited for 15 minutes and then made a fresh pot.
Then I went out to deal with this.
Managed to piece together a repair out of parts I had in the field.
While I was out there I was noticing how completely quiet it was. My neighbor usually has music playing but not today. I sat for a while and just listened. The birds and squirrels chirping. My dog running through the field. Off in the distance a tractor working in a field. Some people complain about having nothing to do in the country, but I love it.
Then I got a call to go pick up a car. So the wife and Carmel and I loaded up and headed out. I was smoking a cigar and I looked in my mirror and saw this.
She kept it there the whole time I had my cigar. People passing by were dying laughing.
Stopped at a gas station and noticed Carmels beautiful nose art. Wonder if I can sell it.
Then we got up into Charlotte traffic and while sitting at a red light a guy in a Ford Taurus pull up next to us and it sounded like his engine was full of marbles. He made it about 20 more feet before it died completely.
We got to the house to pick up the car and found this in the garage. 1923 Model T with a 289. Sweet car.
Also had this, but I forget what year it was - all stock.
Then we loaded up and headed for home with this.
It is an 87 convertible. No interior or top, blown head gasket.
On the way back we were about to get on I485 when we saw blue lights on the interstate and looked over the side of the bridge to see a jackknifed semi and stuff all over the interstate.
Stopped at Steak N Shake for burgers and headed home.
Now I am sitting at my desk looking at a little pvssy.
Not a bad day at all.
