I like that alot. Im still hoping for a Four door Rubicon with frt and rear 60s and a Hemi. Based on the Dodge Power Wagon. I think that would be popular, maybey a bit expensive.

Jeep has made some really impressive steps in the past few years. The Rubicon with lockers, low gears, decent tires, lots of skids. Then the longer wheelbase. Then 4 doors. Now a diesel. I can't wait for used ones to have a price drop when the next body style comes out.

Starting the fight with the wife now...
I believe a Wrangler is a smart replacement for the Volvo...

It'll still be a piece of shit with the lowest build quality of any vehicle in the US.

Only now, it will have a small Italian diesel under the hood.

I agree and I would still never buy one.

I'm just hoping this *might* lead teh way for more vehicles w/ diesel, esp in the truck,SUV market.
Imagine getting a Taco w/ the diesel... like the rest of the world can.

I was hoping for a F150 next year but Ford pushed it back! I'll believe this when I see it. Chrysler has been playing with the Diesel for a while. Libby, GC both got them and did not sell well. I find it hard to believe they would put one in the JK in the US. They already have one in the Egyptian J-8.

Uh... the Tacoma is only offered in the US.

The diesel F150 got the ax right about when Ford and Navistar started suing the hell out of one another for the 6.0L PSD debacle. Ford is talking about selling one, but based on their new in-house diesel architecture. By the sound of things, it would probably be a V6. Think of it like a 4BT/6BT or 4.3/5.7.

Just not elsewhere under that name. But they've had diesel small/mid-sized trucks in other markets for decades.

Not quite.

They were testing it for late '09 or '10 model year production.
This was in July of this year.
