Yes i bought another rig,

Kinda funny all this time I thought I wanted a sweet off road capable rig, all I wanted was a truck on 44's to Daily Drive, go figure :shaking:

Nah, still have the jeep its just disassembled right now, this truck will serve as a: "Secondary Daily Driver/Might run it through the mud if i feel like it but mainly for driving around to show off" truck.

6" Springs front, shackle flip rear (4" lift rear), Dana 44 moly shafts ox joints, 14 bolt welded, 350/th350/208

And yes I would run 54's on it for DD purposes if I had the $$$

i like it, is one of the tred lugs missing on those 44's by any chance?

what are you going to show off?
would like to see it in the mud though lol

What am I gonna show off? If you don't have an urge to daily drive a rig on at least 44" tall tires I question your right to call yourself a man :flipoff2:

If you wanna see it in the mud I'm gonna take it to the Farm next saturday to hit the mud there, def not going in the rocks with it thou, that'd be a real bad idea :driver:

Yea I think so, there just the tires i had on the Z71 Jeep and since its on Jackstands I borrowed them for the Chevy.

I think it's cool always have liked the old straight axle chevys

Hey Ricky......If you didn't know, OX Joints are NOT meant for daily driving. They will come apart and take out your chromos with them . Make sure you grease them CONSTANTLY.

Just some helpful info.....

What are you scheming up for the Jeep now Ricky?

Hmmmm, never know, could be doin somethin crazy or I could be just swappin the fuel filter out for one of those sweet magnet filled horsepower adding ones . . . . . :driver:

Only problem is I kinda am slacking about it since I got the Chevy, having more than one rig is never a good idea :shaking:

Dang, preciate it man I had no idea, Is it a bad idea to drive with them on the road at all or just kinda the type of thing that as long as you keep em greased you should be aight? If need be I can swap the stock shafts/joints back in and just hang onto the moly/ox combo for when I feel I need it.

He should be fine if he runs the street with the hubs UNLOCKED though.
Right?

If you have locking hubs(it looks like you do) and you keep them unlocked you should be alright. The axle shafts should only turn when you have the hubs locked or you are in 4wd. Unless there is something I dont know about the 208 and it spins the front output all the time.

you'll be fine just like the other guys said unlock the hubs

Or you could just swap me for my stock shafts. Theyll do fine with the hubs locked!!!!!!!!!!

Just what you needed. Another rig to bring and park in our d@mn yard.

Looks good man, and please let me know how in the world you get the money for all this. I could use it. I will run stuff, just toss it in a bookbag, tell me where to get it and by what time, no need to know what is inside it. :flipoff2:

the reason i asked about the tred lug is i used to have a set of 44's that were grooved identical to those tires. they looked very familiar.

It wouldn't be so bad for crawling with a 60 front, bobbed bed, and 52 inchers and 63 inchers out back (**for a 4" lift) to end up with about 9-10" of spring lift.

Cool, didn't want to go throu having to swap the shafts out anyway, lol. By the way Jeff, I wanna try and grab those spider gears from you sometime soon so I can have the 4WD working for next weekend, i'll give you a call tommorow prob.

Already got a set of stock shafts, but I'll sell ya the moly shafts/ox ujoints for $3500 and i'll even throw the truck in on that deal for free as well :driver:

I mean it just builds the character of your yard :driver:

They probably were yours then, I bought em from Patrick (pheery) he mighta bought em from you.

Tru but I have no intention of actually wheeling this thing, like I said its basically just gonna serve the purpose of me bein able to drive somethin around on 44's, everyonce and a while I'll run throu some mud, but no real offroading for this guy.

i guess whatever floats your boat...should have saved that money and put it towards a tow rig.

What are you gonna do about tires for this shit missile when the wheeling tires go back on the jeep? :flipoff2:

it sounds to me like you could have spent that money on those stupid 54" boggers you wanted to put on the jeep, but no. what did you do ricky? you went and bought a chevy. why havent you learned yet that chevys are better off in junk yards then on the road or off the road

I mean i think ya'll are just jealous :driver:

As far as the tires situation, I'm not plannin on keeping the truck for long, I just wanna drive it around a little bit then I'm prob gonna sell it on some 40x15 grooved tsl's I have and use the 44" tsl's on the beadlocks on the jeep.

********unless someone wants to trade me strait up for some 54" boggers on some either standard 8 lug or rockdub(rockwell) pattern beadlock wheels preferably 14+" wide if not wider but 10" wide is minimum for the wheels********** ;)

hmmm that makes me wonder, think galloways would take a whole truck as a trade for some 54's on rims . . . . .

hell i could literally show up at galloways with my 81 truck and two of my flatbed trailers worth of parts to trade, damn i wonder if galloways would take a bulk parts trade, cause holy crap do I have alot of random parts (plus two jeeps not including the Z71 jeep)

ricky you could trade me that 350 for my 6.2 and make that your new tow rig. sell the z71 and the 44's and buy 54's for the jeep. and buy streetfriendly tires for the new tow rig.

by the way my usa6x6 wheels came in, just thought i would share

Lol, I mean, I guess I could, but I'm def not gonna get rid of the Z71, so have to figure out that part of the plan.

Oh and way to make my truck look wussy by postin up your pics :flipoff2: nah it looks good man, do the hawgs hook up any better when you air em down real low?

The front shafts still turn, just not at road speed.

call me I forgot to dig them out of the bucket
