Short notice I know. But a bunch of us racers wanted to have one more go at each other before the winter. So here is the deal!!
What: High speed Off Road Race!! One time event, so come ready!!!
Where: Uwharrie Stables High Speed Track
When: Saturday Nov. 17th be there at 8am, racing starts at 10am sharp
Why: We wanna race DAMNIT! No really the stables are having an event that weekend to give toys to kids of fallen soldiers. And said we could use the facilty to race basically for free if we put on a show for fans. We aint looking to run a series, just wanna go have fun and help some kids have a good christmas!
How much? Bring a unwrapped toy or donation to get in. Racers may put in more money or bet each other, or whatever. Again this is for fun and braggin rights. No trophies(unless somebody wants to make some). We are thinking $25 or $50 to make the pot decent.
According to stables owner, we can have the field to camp in and pit, so if you wanna come friday they open the gates at 12 noon. I'm prob not coming till early sat, so do as you wish.
Rules: There is one rule! Keep your shirt on! Okay common sense here. All 4x4 rigs welcome, buggies, etc. Your rig will be looked over for general safety. Stables has the final say here, so use your brain. Make sure you bring a helmet DOT style, have seatbelts, and please disconnect your airbag if you got one. So dont bring a pile of Sh*T and expect to race(unless it has safety equipment in that case please bring it and beat the crap out of it). I would say fire ext. would also be a good idea.
At this point we are thinking 35" tire and below class, and a 36" and above class. Or maybe a 4,6, and 8 cylinder class? We will see how many show up and make it fair. NO WHINING!!! This is a fun event to benefit kids and have a good time. So leave the bitchin to your wife!(or husband)
We will discuss if we are doing timed runs or side by side action(up to racers)
Racers will also have to volunteer while not racing, course marshalls, timing, what ever, remember this is for fun, and we are all gonna pitch in!
Call or PM me with questions 336-817-7289(Brad)
