Was told by a few people that I can still use my Toyota 4wd tranny with the NP200 case, all I need is something called a " jack shaft" to connect the tranny and case, I was told my rear driveshaft would be really short too but that isn't a problem? Then the two other obvious driveshafts to the front and rear pinions. Also was told I could install it vertically and it would drop my driveline angles 10" or so? Would like to know if this is true or not. Thanks and God Bless and have a great Christmas guys!

The 4wd Toyota transmission is a "married" case type while the NP200 is a "divorced" type. You could couple a 2wd Toyota transmission to the NP200 via "jackshaft", but I'm not sure what benefits would be gained. A jackshaft is a short drive shaft connecting a divorced transmission to a divorced transfer case. To keep a reasonable wheelbase and
realistic driveline angles in your Toyota a married style drive train would probably work better.

Guess I should get a 2wd tranny and some sort of case since my 4wd is grinding when I coast and popping out of second gear at low speeds?
