Where is a good source for parts for a NP205? thanks
Just let me know if you do, It looks like the speedometer drive that the cable hooks to is a slip fit with a hold down clamp on it, aka the holes not threaded.Think I have a speedo stuff in still in my parts 205
Is it the plastic gear or the steel gear? I'm pretty sure the PO had swapped the output shafts for 32 spline units, what is yours? Thanks again, just trying to get a damn VSS signal for the TBI is becoming a major PITAI just walked down stars and checked on that for ya. I have one. You can have the whole case(missing inputshaft, input bearing, and maybe a few small peices for 50$. Or ill sell the rear output with the speedo stuff still in it for 20
Well I could but then the engine would run like crap,(TBI engine) I'd prefer to get it done right the first time around. If you don't need to know how fast you are going, you can just seal it up?
Well I thought about using GPS for speed, I've read that some people/kit companies ground the park/neutral wire which makes the ecm think its in park at all times. I also read mixed results doing this some say they truck runs like junk and some same it runs fine. One of the biggest things that I've read over and over is the fuel economy and considering I want to be able to drive the truck on the road this is a concern for me. Have you tried using a vss and see what kind of changes it makes in the performance of your truck? Just wonderingi run no speedo on my tbi and stock chip. no problems.
