do I need any special tools? I orderded my kit but it will not be here until after I am at work friday so I dont know if I need to brring any tools from work. I know they have good instructions with the kit I just have not received it yet. if it helps i got the jb conversions kit.

Patience. Good gasket scraper to clean the goop off before you have a leaky transfer case when you reassemble.

Ditto on the GOOD snap ring pliers. Will save you a lot of bad words.

What your looking for is Lock Ring pliers, the one I have is made by Proto and I picked it up at Grainger.
