I'm about to change a few things around on the TJ, and I'm going to have do something different with the t-case. My transmission is 29 spline, so the next case I buy will have to be converted to 29 spline. I'm looking at 3 options:
1. 29 spline input for NP231, already have the case
2. NP241 with 29 spline input
3. NP241 internals into NP242 case

I like the last option best because then I would end up with a case that had the "full-time" option and beefy internals. Anybody got any info, tried this, or know of a better place to ask?

i used some internals and output out 247 on my 242 worked just fine!! seemed like it heated up a lil more than usual but prolly me just worrying about my handy work i also had to put output on lathe to face it down to fit! hope that helps dunno much bout 241 tho

I am in the process of converting a np 231 to 29 spline input. The 241 29 spline input will go into the 231 or 242 case except for the input bearing is larger on the 241. I am going to have to machine a spacer to go into the 241 input shaft so I can put a 231 input bearing in it. The 242 will have the same problem most likely. AA also makes a 29 spline input for the 231.
