So I had to split this case apart. I can't get it back together. The frustration is owning me.

Anyone know a trick for getting this case back together. It seems the chain is so tight, it won't allow the spline to slide into the planetary gear.

Either way, I am tired of jacking around with it. Someone wanna throw me a few tips or just put this thing back together for me.

Also, anyone out there ever swapped over to an np 241 manual case? What is involved?

There's a clip that holds the rear output shaft thats under a rubber insert that pops out. Hold the clip open while separating the rear section on the case from the gears. Then you can install the gears and chain into the front section of the case. Putting the rear section on can be a little tricky, I took a piece of metal and stuck it between the clip to hold it out.

nice, makes sense. So put all the internals together, then put the back half of the case on. i will try it tonight hopefully

everything is rebuilt and put back. get this. it goes into 4 high, didn't do that before. but it won't go into 4 low. it doesn't even sound like it (motor) is trying to shift it. really strange.

any ideas?

The shift fork didn't move at all? How do I miss it? It only lined up one way I thought.
