Any ideas on a quick and easy way to remove the inspection port? I want to check my tranny fluid, haven't checked it since I did the 5spd swap and figured it would be a good idea.

I don't want to weld anything to it, and not having to run around town to try to find a place thats open to get a special too from would be great.

If someone knows some easy trick to get it out, I'd be greatful if you'd share!

Thanks,

Dennis

If your talking about the fill plug all you need is an allen key socket you can get from lowes, autozone, advance, napa, or any tool store.

Better yet just let me have your nv4500, then you wont have to worry about having to check the fluid anymore (my 5th gear, countershaft gear and mainshaft need replacing, lol :shaking:)

Thanks, I guess I'll go looking for one.

I'm not sure if you want my NV4500 either... the donor truck it came out of had 289,000 miles on it . But, it still seems to shift as good as new. No idea if 5th gear was ever fixed on it, hoping for the best there :driver:.
