I need an insider at Verizon
I am looking for help with a problem that we have with Verizon Wireless. Basically after the merger with Alltell, we no longer have service at one of our homes. After 20+ calls to customer service, supervisors, and phone techs, many service tickets being written out, etc., we never get anywhere.
Calling Verizon does no good because we can't get any further than the aforementioned people.
How, who, what, when, where can we get to one person who can actually help us, follow through, and even call us back until this issue is resolved?
They have offered to sell us another phone with a new contract, and also a network extender at additional cost.
All we want is the same old phone service that we had before we let them update our software on our phones.

1) were you with VZW or Alltell pre merger?
2) What type of phone are you using...make and model please

I have contacts as high as you would ever want to go...but I need to make sure I am not doing them an injustice....

Your solution Costs $200.

Its called a Network Extender.

basically...its VOIP.

You buy a little box that plugs into your network router. When you are in range of the box with your cell phone, your cell phone connects to the box before any call is made or answered. it transmits your phone calls over the internet to the nearest tower...then the tower tunrs it into a cell phone signal and broadcasts just like normal.

We have been using this solution at our shop for about 3 months and dont have any complaints.

Just make sure you program it to only accept your phone numbers, or other people will be getting free rides on your stuff. I think it will take up to 3 "lines" at a time on internet, and if those 3 lines are "busy" the calls come in and go out just like normal...as if the box wasnt there...crappy signal and all.

We are both with VZW before and after merger. I have a new Casio Gz'One and my fiance' has a POS that Verizon has replaced a couple times.

Just call them and tell them you want to cancle and port you number to at&t and explaine why

that should get them to fix it

Close. It actually comes into the switch on an IP and routes into the network from there. You don't have to be anywhere near a site. Also, if a phone is UMA capable and you have wifi at home, you don't need to buy anything.

My AT&T signal was going to crap so I called to get the extender, they said it would be $150 my counter offer was its only $25 more to cancel my contract early and get a phone company that would work. They saw my point and let me get the extender for free. I know have 5 bars of coverage with 3g at the house.

Well we went to another VZW store yesterday and the manager spent enough time to listen to us and get things straightened out.
What originally went wrong was when they used a Hybrid PRL (I have no idea what that is other than the fact that it uses both VZW and Alltel towers for the best signal) on our phones. May times we told them to remove it and put us back to where we were originally. None of them did that even thought they told us they did.
Scott Henderson (VZW manager) blocked both of our phones from ever having that new software added to them again.
When we got home to Lexington, the phones both worked great.
So for basically three months we've had bad service due to inept techs at VZW.
