i keep throwing O2 sensors and cannot figure out why. ive replaced them with 2 different kinds and they still keep going bad. what would be causing this problem? how can i fix this?

any possibility you are loosing coolant / antifreeze ? if there is head gasket issue or crack where you are possibly burning coolant it will take out an O2 sensor ( and a CAT ) in short order.

Just one possibility of many, what kind of vehicle we dealing with ?

honestly it might not even be the o2, have you had a repair shop diag this not just pulling codes.... what is the code #

I could see what AllData at work may say... would need year make model of car

Intake leaks can trip an o2 code.

its a 97 TJ. im not losing coolant. the code is reading that the air to fuel mix is running rich. i think its code 55.

What is your fuel pressure? That is the most common cause of air fuel ratio too rich or too lean. Also a cracked exhaust manifold can cause it too.
