How many do we have on here? Me and the family just returned from our annual vacation over there. I love it......and the 4x4 beaches at Corolla and north are awesome.

Don't live there, but would love to. We do first 2 weeks in July every year in the Rodanthe area. Favorite place in the world to go as far as I'm concerned.

My parents live in moyock, directly across the sound from corolla. Nice way to relax. Done it a bunch of times. Just crusing on the beach.

Not a resident, but we visited Avon last summer, and my fiancee and I will be honeymooning in Carova, in the 4x4 area north of Corolla in September. We plan on making it a yearly thing.

Going to corolla for the first some time in the next couple of weeks. From all the good things I hear about the area, I'm really excited about going.

3 trips to Hatteras already this year, still have Labor Day and 2nd week of October.

Anybody have a beach recommendation where I can let the dog run around without anyone hassling me? Taking the girlfriend and dog to the beach, and I don't want to keep her on a leash (the dog)...

Someplace not crowded...and a hotel.

I spent a week out there the 1st week of May this year. Rented a Beach house in Corolla. Absolutely loved it. First time on vacation that when it was time to go home I didnt want to leave. Usually ready to get home. Walked up the beach into Carova and got some close up pics of the Wild Spanish Mustangs. I would post some pics but they are on the other PC. Unfortunately when we went I didnt take a 4x4 so I didnt get to run the beach.

We had a ball when we went last week. Love the sand riding. Kinda like mudding without the mess.

Am I the only one?

I guess I'm the only one that actually lives on the OuterBanks.... Anyone else????

The place is nice to visit, try living here. One, there is no wheeling locations other than the beach. And you can't do much with that. All the inline areas are so swampy the roads are the only thing passable (dirt roads, no wooded trails)

My brain is a resident of Ocracoke, unfortunately it leaves the rest of me to come to work in Kinston...

nope, i'm here too except I'm in the southern OBX, atlantic beach. Mostly beach driving here too, or deep mud. I have heard of a place in S Carolina that opened kinda recently. I'd go if a group got together. Or an OBX M&G on okracoke or something...

Let me be more specific, the I am referring to the Outerbanks as the Dare, Hyde, and Curituck County Portions (northern half of state). The rest in my opinion is just coast line of the state.......
