Ive been watching this and I think Sr is a arogant S.O.B! I dont know what yall think but I think he may be a bit scared of JR.

I've been watching Law and Order reruns rather than watch these 2 ass hats. I actually tried to watch the show and just can't.
 
I'm assuming that this has something to do with television?? Gee, I need to waste more time. Who shot JR? (see if the young'uns get that)

They both do the same amount of work on there bikes...About 1% haha...If they didnt have very skilled workers there shops would go under and there bikes would look like shit because neither have the skills to do the whole thing. The show is nothing but fluff with tons of BS...Take away vinnie and take away rick and boom..nothing gets done. :shaking: The show has gotten/is horrible.

I agree that they both have their share of helpers but I've seen Jr. actually tig on his bikes and he designs them. Sr. has that Jason kid draw everything up and then rick makes the tanks and exhaust. Everything else is an in house frame, motor, etc.

Please don't think I think either one of these guys are great. i just see one does more than the other.

I must've been at my in-laws when I saw part of one episode recently... :shaking: The early shows where they did the Firemen's bike (and a couple of others) were cool, but way too much 'reality teevee' drama even then. Fortunately I don't have cable, so I can only waste so much time on tv.
 
They are all idiots!

None of them build their own stuff! They buy the frame, but the tanks, buy fenders, etc.

Every once in a while they may make their own gas tank or oil tank. All they do is bolt things gotether and add un necessary ornamental decorations. Oh, they may fab a handle bar or sissy bar or waste the use of a nice water jet for some stupid rear fender supports
 
OCC makes most of their own parts. They obtained tools to build their own frames a long time ago. They do not stamp their own fenders, but they contract with a vendor to provide them with various types of blanks they choose and modify to suit.

There isn't much they do not build themselves from a company standpoint.

But if you are talking Sr vs Jr the PEOPLE, then yes, neither does much work on their products. What CEO/OWNER does? They are responsible for much more than fabricating, bolting, or welding.

This show is about much more than building bikes. It's about hard work, perseverance and passion. It's about business acumen, attitude, management styles.

You guys seem to have tunnel vision. It's not an Emmy award winning show, or works of art bikes, but its definitely cool to see the progression of the American Dream from an idea and a basement to multi-million dollar businesses.
 
kf4amu, you forgot, "from a multi-million dollar business..." to a broken family with bitterness and regret. Wow, sign me up!
