Occasional loss of A/C on the WJ???

2002 WJ, 4.0, 4x4, automatic.
Over the past couple of months, we've had several times where the A/C just did not work. The compressor clutch is engaging like it should, but the A/C line going into the vehicle is not getting cold. It has the proper amount of freon. Is there a valve or orifice or something that is not functioning properly that is maybe getting clogged or stuck?? I took it to a shop a month ago and they couldn't figure it out because it worked fine while they had it.

Oops, I just got back from Raleigh. Thanks for the offer. Is that a DIY fix, or does it require evacuating refrigerant?
