Next workday is October 25th. Reason it was moved is because the Jamboree is being held on the 18th and a bunch of us volunteers are helping Scott with it.

Not sure yet what all will be done but I do know of one section of guard rail that needs to go up on Falls Dam and then we are also going to start trying to plant some stuff behind the guard rail that is already up to try to make it look better and then maybe a few years down the road we can yank the guard rail down and just let natural stuff block the non trail areas.

News from Terry.

Hi Everyone – Hope you all enjoy the Uwharrie Jamboree this weekend if you come up for it. This message is about the October 25th Work Day on the OHV trails. We’ll be doing some restoration work by seeding, mulching and fertilizing several areas along the trails that we have blocked off in the past. We’ll also be putting up some “No Vehicle” signs up and we’ll be moving the boulders that were for a vehicle barrier along the trail/road at Art Lilley and putting up “no vehicle” signs there too. Depending on how many folks we have we can also have a crew putting up orange diamonds, arrows and putting the number decals on the trail markers.

Please bring up shovels, garden rakes (with the thick tines), work gloves, work boots and be dressed for the weather and to work. If anyone has a small hand seeder please bring it up to use. We have a few hand seeders that we’ll have there for folks to use. Make sure to have water and food. I’m not sure if Snappy is planning on making lunch or not. We’ll need vehicles or trailers that can haul the straw bales up to the restoration areas. I’ll be flagging the areas this upcoming week. Rodney will have the straw bales on the trailer when we meet up.

Meet at 9 am at the Uwharrie Hunt Camp. Rodney & I’ll be working with you all next week and we’ll try to get as many areas as possible. Thanks a lot everyone. I’m looking forward to seeing you all and doing great work on the trails.

AFAIK Snappy will not be there for making lunch so please plan accordingly. Weather should be good for this though.

I will not be there due to cubscouts, but will be in nov with the new food wagon!

I've had some family plans change so pretty sure I won't be able to make it tomorrow, but want to put in some hours so will shoot to head out on Monday for the day. If there's anything in particular I can attend to other than the painted trees on Daniel and trash (likely everywhere, ugh!) let me know.

Trash this last Monday really was not too bad. I mean it was out there but not like after a 4 day weekend.

I did not as i was wore slam the heck out. I thought about it but that's as far as i got. Terry got some i know.

LOL!! Work foiled my Monday trip, but I'm planning on heading over on Thursday - if there were concentrated spots that were worked on lemmie know where they are and I can snap a few and post up.

Up on Dickey Bell got some love where we have been working the last few work days and so did Art Lilley.

Today was a fun and productive day! Here are some pics of what I'm assuming were the weekend projects - these are on Dickey Bell:
