So what is everyone’s opinion on the best offroad front seats for a TJ. I would love to have it on a slider if possible. My center console is already gone, so that is not a factor but this is a manual so got to make sure I can bang all the gears haha. If you haven’t met me and you can’t tell by my screen name I am 6’ and 300lbs

Do you need for the seat back to flip forward? There are not many good options. I bought some Baja RSs years ago for the 4runner. They have been.... meh. Had to fab my own slider mounts bc what came with it made them way too tall.
In hindsight I wish I'd just gotten bucket seats and made a hinge so the whole thing flipped forward.

I also have the Corbeau Baja RS. Mounted them directly to the factory sliders because the adapters put them way to high. 6'1" 205lbs here. Comfort is meh, like @RatLabGuy said.

I'd look at PRP.

I just put PRP enduro elites in my LJ. I used the Genright seat mounts which were ridiculously expensive, but I knew the adapters to the factory sliders would be way too tall. I used universal sliders from Kartek, they bolted right to the Genright mounts. Exactly the same as the ones PRP sells, just cheaper. You lose the fold and tumble, but the enduros fold way forward. I’m 5’9” 280 and can still climb in the back pretty easily.

I find the Corbeau RS comfortable. I am 5'7" though and had to raise mine 2" even though I modified my stock mounts for them.

If I was much larger though, I could see them being somewhat uncomfortable.

I've got the baja rs in my JKU right now on corbeau pedestals, and the position isn't bad for me at 5'10", but they are by far the most uncomfortable suspension seat I've ever sat in.I think that might be because I'm too light though, I have a buddy with them in his who is much heavier, and find his exact same seats much more comfortable. And I think it's because he's broken them in.

The most comfortable for me is the baja ss ultra wide set that are in my TJ, I made my own mounts to put them on the factory sliders, and I can tumble them, but since it's not a reclining seat, it still doesn't give much room for access behind them, but I don't have a backseat there anyway.

I've also had the baja JP in my scouts, it's a direct bolt in seat to Scouts, and Jeep cj and yj, will require an adapter for TJ. They are almost as comfortable as the SS, but have much lower side bolsters, so they don't hold me in place as well as the SS on rough trails. That might actually be better for larger folks though.

Did the wides fit ok in your TJ?

Don’t need to tumble, just forward and backward so another driver has options, oh and so my 5’3” wife can drive it too haha

Anyone have any experience with Corbeau Baja Ultra wide version in a TJ? Do they fit?

Yes, but that TJ has no center console, Warrior half doors that have no inner panel, and not factory seatbelts, full cage, with harness. It's an 06 with the 6 speed, and shifting is no problem... You definitely couldn't put them in with a center console, and releasing the hand brake is a challenge. I don't think they would fit with regular full or half doors either...

It's not at the house right now, but I can get pics of the fit next time I'm at the shop if you like...

The console lid rubs my standard corbeaus, and the reclining mechanism rubbed the factory main hoop. Little more clearance with the aftermarket cage.

I think that gives me my answer, thank you. I have no center console, and I run M&M half doors most of the time but I do put my stock half doors on with the uppers in the winter.

For cheap good seats Baja as corbeau, the wide seat is narrower than the wide but fit s larger ass, I have both and the narrow is tight on a 34 waistline with really tall bolsters the wide feels more like a stock seat

Racing seats USA.com has good pricing and often free shipping

<Slight hijack> Are you loving the Enduro Elites? I'm trying to decide between the Elites or the new Crawl for my TJ.

So far I love them. No wheeling time yet, just street miles to and from work and around town. But they very comfortable. The bottom cushion in my factory drivers seat was broke down pretty bad, so it’s much better than what I had. I need to get the seat heaters wired up. They would have been nice Thursday morning at 4:00 when it was 50* with no doors or windows. Lol

Late to the party, BUT...
Ran the "pull outs" (tiny GM/Toy?) that were in the Moss for about 10 years... nothing shy of BRUTAL!
Finally installed some slightly used Corbeaus (tall & wide)... ride quality/comfort improved 1000% and noticed back/midsection didn't feel like we'd pulled/stacked 10 acres of hay bales.

The downsides:
Got cloth centers and for some reason, they will stay wet for DAYS (a set of "seat savers" keep them dry in transit)
The other issue is potential for pinching one of the "twins" 🤬 on the side bolsters getting in/out...
