The wife and I hit the lake 2 or 3 days a week and now that I have a 8 month old, it is getting more and more difficult to get everything down to the boat. Our current "boat cart" had taken a beating, plus, the walk way gravel is deeper now and the dock board planks has caused the cart to flip over several times with it's little front wheels. So, what did we decide to do? Lift it, stretch the wheelbase, and wrap it with some bigger meats!
Old and busted:
4" tires not cutting it...
Cutting some brackets for the "lift"
Custom REDLYNER Racing fabrication going on
Drilling out the axle tubes... I'm upgrading to custom aluminum axle shafts.
Everyone knows if you don't have aluminum bling, you are so eary 2000's
New 14" Rock Raptor tires- sticky compound of course.
Custom rear coilovers, I may have Carolina Truggies tune them for me....
Working on the front stretch kit. I went with about a 6" wheelbase stretch.
Brackets, smoothed and bolted up
Still on jackstands, I can't wait to get it back on it's own weight.
Custom coilovers up front too, I thought about triple bipass shocks, but opted out
Stretch in place, tires aligned, aluminum axle bolted in
All set, ready for beer, life jackets and wakeboard rope! I went LCOG with high speed carting in mind. We'll see how it does in the whoops
