oh hell here i go again gm wireing

i got a 86 gmc k1500 that has a hell of a wiring mess going on. the truck ran great till the other night when i was replacing the starter and dropped it while bolting it up and jerked my wires in two. the factory ignition switch has been by passed to a push button. and the key switch only controls my gauge lights my H.E.I distributor and of course my coil i have power to my starter but not to anything else, i cant seem to figure out what i missed when putting the wires back together. the guy i bought it from bought it like this and never had any problems. do any of you guys locally to kings mtn have a nac for this kind of stuff.

can't help to point out start with all fuses first and then might have fried starter solenoid so with key on jump the two terminals on it and see if that kicks it over. there should be another jumble of wires with bunch of fusible links and such so start probing those on each side of the fusible link for volatage. i feel your pain..wiring sucks!!

its turning over fine john its not firieng though i got fuel but no fire since i jerked my wires into is there a diagram i can chase wires with
