oil coming out exhaust?

I have a 22r in my 84 4runner. I just changed out the head gasket. The problem is now that oil is coming out the exhaust pipe. I pulled the plugs and none of them have oil on them. The gasket is not leaking anywhere. I torued the head bolts to specs also. I might go recheck the torque.

are you certain its oil and not soot/condensation...

soot coupled with condensation will look alot like oil.

I am going to do a oil consumption check when I drive it next time. Thanks I did some water in the engine when I changed the gasket.

get some on your fingers, if it feels wet and gritty like dirty water, don't worry, if it's slick like oil worry.

Is it stumbling or missing? A sign of a cracked head or blown gasket is water going out the exhaust and picking up soot on the way out.

When my Nissan was brand-spankin' new I would get spots on the lower rear quarter and the rear bumper that looked like oil. It was nothing but soot and cleared up after it broke in.

Where is your rear axle breather, I have seen them leak oil from there and if it happens to be over your exhaust then that might be your problem as well.
