Oil Drop

$64.75 at lunch time today. I think it is going below $60/barrel.

$56.16 right now.

One report indicated $45/barrel by first quarter next year.

That's $1.50/gal range right there. I never imagined I'd see these prices EVER again. Hell, I'm still shocked at how quickly the pump shuts off at $2.09/gal!

yeah, the stock market is a scary place so the speculators tuck tail and run. Now the market is at its natural prices and the price of oil is where it should be.

this means you can thank the stock market for the past few years of high gas prices. Not supply and demand.

Diesel at 2.99 in lincolnton today

Diesel $2.72,Gas $2.09 Marion, NC $1.99 for gas in Forest City

gas for $1.87 and diesel was $2.85 when i filled up today over off of 70 by boats unlimited at the BP there

$1.79 @ wal-mart and BP in Zebulon

$1.87 at on peters creek in winston.

lol, im planning trips to all those places i didnt get to go this summer.

yeah! And heating oils too!
Not only that, but how about LP? I just got spanked for $3.04/gallon last week. Good thing the tank was only down 150 gallons. Sheesh, gonna be a cold winter in my house at these prices. The price of LP was a little slower to go up compared to gasoling, but it's just as slow to go back down.

Here's a different thought. How long will it be before the oil companies start whining about their losses after reporting record profits for the last couple of years. It wouldn't suprise me if they want some government bailout money as well.

Anyone that uses diesel is definitely getting screwed. Good thing I'm not one of them. Kerosene, on the other hand, isn't very cheap these days. Makes for expensive nights in the garage.

EVERYBODY uses diesel. Do you think everything you use just magicly appears where ever you by it? Fuel cost effect the price of everything you buy, costing you much more in the long run than than the increased gas prices do.

No, I do not so you can skip the little economics lecture. I buy and consume goods that are brought to the stores in vehicles that use diesel. I'm well aware that just about all consumer goods are affected by diesel prices, however I do not "use" diesel nor have I ever bought a drop first hand. If I actually did, I'd bitch more at the pump. Since the fuel costs are absorbed into the price of the product, it's a little easier to swallow. Do I like buying milk at nearly $4/gallon? No. Do I still buy 3 gallons a week because my little one is a milk junkie? Yep. Save your rant for someone who's mommy and daddy pays for everything and doesn't have to deal with the daily life routine, mmmk?
