Oil Guage Pegged.

Drove the Wife's '99 Grand Cherokee to work today. It has the 4.0. I noticed the oil pressure was pegged at 80psi. Everything was running fine, Temp was a steady 210. No lights bells or whistles going off. Just high Oil pressure. Only thing out of the norm other than that was the weather.

Anyone seen this? I'm use to seeing low/fluctuating readings on the 4.0's not pegged gauges. Any thoughts other than bad Sender?

oil pressure switch common problem on grands usually notice more on the V8's for whatever reason, it is shorted to full ground

Kinda what I was thinking. Wondering if with the snow on the ground if it threw a bunch of snow on the connector and shorted it. Or maybe the snow has nothing to do with it.

I just had mine go out in the tj and it did the same thing. it costed me $35.00
