Oil Pump Shaft

I got a Moroso high volume oil pump for my 350 but like a dummy, forgot to order the steel shaft. Do I HAVE to order a Moroso steel shaft (from Jegs and will be here Friday late) or can I get a Mellings from Advance (1 mile from my house and probably in stock)?

Does it matter which steel shaft I use on the high volume oil pump?

the melling will work just as well as the moroso-fwiw i've been using big block oil pumps on small blocks for years, they're cheaper, provide way more flow than even the high volume ones and have more teeth for smoother operation, causing less spark scatter in the distributor & are more stable at high rpms
