Oil sender on 304

Trying to seal up a leak around my oil sender. I pulled the sender and then compared it to another sender I pulled off a 360 I have. What's the deal with the difference in the two?

Too one in photo is the one I pulled off my Jeep. Bottom set up is off another Jeep V8. It has a similar sensor coming off at a 90* but straight off the assembly is a bell shaped unit. I'm guessing maybe the bell shaped unit is for a gauge and the unit I pulled off is for an idiot light?

Yeah the bell shaped one looks like ones that connect to a gauge.

The one i just put on my 360 looks like the one on bottom but I don't have the sensor part it just goes to the bell looking thing and the gauge wire connects to it. I've had it started but only a few minutes so I can't be certain if its going to leak or not

Looks like about 3 cans of Engine Gunk, & a Steam cleaner, to me!
