There was a thread on this site a while back about disposing of old gas. I looked but couldn't find it. I've got about 10-15 gallons of old gas(yea, I haven't wheeled either of my rigs in a LONG time) that I need to dispose of. I don't want to pour it on the ground on my property. Anyone have any advice on how to get rid of it? It has that old gas stench and is too old to burn in my other vehicles.

Thanks,
Danny

Maybe take it to a local recycle center if yall have those in your county. Our local trash dump has oil and antifreeze containers. I'm sure you can pour it in the used oil container

I think that was my thread. I had like 10 gallons of gas I needed to get rid of.

Someone here came and took it off of my hands.

Now that I have a shop and space to store gas jugs, I blend the old gas in with newer gas and Stabil and use it in my cars/mowers/ATV.

That is not a bad idea. It is mowing season. I guess I could mix it 50/50 with some 93 octane and mix Stabil with it too and try to burn it in my mower. It isn't like I'd be out a bunch if it didn't work. I'm nervous about burning it in my van though. I don't want to fook up an oxygen sensor or something like that if it is possible to do.

pour it in your car & run it..

I have a like new push mower I haven't used in 5 or 6 yrs. Put some stabil in it 3yrs ago and it cranked up again without issue this spring.

We have a bunch. I've been burning it in the Jeep, a gallon at a time. This stuff was super nasty.... enough so that I ran it through coffee filters when I combined it into one jug to get all of the gel out of it. I just wait until we've burned a gallon or two out of a full tank, then add some on top.

I haven't tried burning it in the Explorer, but only because I thought it might fawk with the multifuel sensors.

I know the shit's like gold up here in Durham!!! If you can benefit at all, by all means use it...

Most mowers are close to 8.0:1 C-R which equals out to around 77% octane.

I would pour it in my 7.3 with some WVO and run the shit out of it...
