This is a shot in the dark, but - anybody on here that restores pianos or otherwise interested in old furniture?
I have an old piano that I need to find a home for. It was made in the 20s (29 maybe?), has a date/logo on the back. Solid mahogony, and the classic "player" style. This would have been/could be a real beauty. *Very* heavy.
Unfrotunately, it has been unused and neglected for a long time. I have all the guts of the "player" component, although it has been pulled out. Being so old, though, the rubber vacuum lines are all dryrotted etc.
The point is, I'm looking for somebody that would want to buy this to restore it. In a worst-case, even somebody that would want the 80 year old wood for furniuture and find appropriate homes for the rest. While I would love to take on teh project of restoring myself, I simply do not need another project of that scope.
Any tips? I'd hate to just eBay it.
