Would you have any issue buying an early 80's CJ that had a salvage title? 1984 CJ was wrecked in 1991 and rebuilt. I do not know the extent of the damage but was rebuilt and been a driver since. Frame looks straight and has been inspected numerous times since.

Buying to fix up and resale. My question is would you as a possible buyer turn away from this jeep because of the salvage title?

Yes. No. Possibly. If you're getting it ultra cheap you might make some money. I wouldn't expect it to pull the normal $ for a CJ.

RUN !!

I wouldn't bother me much. Pretty much any CJ that's in decent condition has been rebuilt anyway.

It's a jeep...The frame won't line up with the axles anyway, so I wouldn't worry about that. And every body panel is replaceable with armor, so not much to worry about there. I wouldn't let a salvage title slow me down.

Ive been in the car biz for most of my life. seems the general public runs from salvage titles now. I hardly ever buy any anymore

the generic public isn't buying 80's era Jeeps!

Personally, i would pass. Might end up being more trouble than it's worth to flip.

If it was for you to keep and drive that would be a different story.
