Ole Blackie One Ton Swap

What I have is a 93 Toyota pickup that I have already sas swapped years back.
The 3.0 motor let loose on me a while back and she had been sitting for quite a few years. Well that being said, it's time to bring her out of retirement.

Plans for the build:
Dana 60 front
14 bolt rear
538's and lockers front and rear
Move the front axle forward 2"
All pro 6" springs in the rear (already have them in the front)
39x18x16.5 Boggers
Swapping the whole drivetrain to a 22re motor and tranny.

Ordered most all the parts yesterday, so let's get this ball rolling.

Already got the Boggers and wheels and the 22re is fresh ready to be dropped in

Tore the dana 60 apart yesterday, cleaned it up and painted it today waiting on gears and rebuild kit.

Just got the gears,seals and 14 Bolt locker in from East Coast Gear. Good guys to deal with and gave me a good price.

Stuff came in from WFO

Worked on it a good bit today, swapped out the rear springs for 6" allpros, bolted up the 14 bolt with the sweet wfo flip kit. Installed the 538 gears and grizzly locker, set up the disc brakes and threw the Boggers on it to see how it would look.

39s, 22R & 5.38s. How will that do on the road?

Pretty good I believe, the previous setup with a weak 3.0, 529's and 38's pulled pretty good. So in thinking it will work better. We will see. I've always thought 22r's had more power than a 3.0. Or felt like anyways

Oh I forgot to take pictures of today's progress. But got the 22re in and fired up, just have a fuel pump problem, (have to jump it to get power). Tacked the spring hanger in place, hung the 60 on the springs and rebuilt it.
Put the steering on, I'm really impressed with the wfo arms and steering setup. I'll post pics Monday.

Installed Trail Gear 4.7 gears in the t case today.

Got the 22re installed, and running right.

One Ton master cylinder. Still have spongy brakes. Gonna put a proportioning valve on the rear disc to see if that helps.

Sky Manufacturing T case parking brake seems to work pretty good. I like the design and 100 less than the Allpro one.

Hey bud truck looks great. I think I saw it sitting in a driveway off hwy 29? We're working on the RR signal project from peach orchard rd to north Kannapolis.

Yep that was her sitting at the house. I Preshate it! Gotta lot of time in her. Still gotta build bumpers

This is her almost finished, sold 39's and got a set of brand new 42 Boggers and 16" rims

Nice I wish I could get my 89 extra cab back... I put tons under my 94 instead and sold the 89.. just sold my 94 and bought a 98 sas taco, I live off saint pauls not far from you I'd like to ride by one weekend and check it out
