The business end of things.

Where do you work? I fly in and out of CLT all the time...I work for Piedmont.

PS I just got back from the Oceana NAS air show in VA Beach this weekend. AWESOME.

Can't really put that out, but, if you're in and out alot. That's Roush's old 727s in the background. I'm dead across the runway from the cargo ramp and Snoopy is to the left of us. You a pilot or mech or tech or sales or support?

I need to go to a real military airshow again for the high speed/high noise fix. Went all the time when I lived in FL.

I'll be at Marsfab's on Oct 2, look me up. Scott

Yea those guys were headed to my house, I called and pulled a few strings. I needed somebody to test out my new landing strip out back.

I'm a pilot. Not to sound snobbish but I've never really paid attention to that side of the airport because I can't really tell what anything is anyway.

Next time I'm in the lineup for 36R I'll look in that area for clues.

Know anybody hiring? I'll do just about anything to get out of the airline business.

What are you typed in? I'm in Corporate Aviation, but have worked FBO's/Commercial/General. Cessna 150's to 747-200 series. Did work Wachovia's Flight department "Hawkaire" for 15 years if you've heard that call sign. Wells Fargo closed it down and sold it all off. When I was there worked Cessna 550, 560, Ultra, Excel; Falcon 2000; Beech 1900D; Lear 60; Bombardier Challenger 300; Beechjet; Gulfstream 550.

I miss the days of real planes. I have been in the A.F. for 14 years now. Worked on F-15's, F-16's, A-10's, B-2's,C-5's,, C-17's, C-135'sC-141's, C-130 Cargo and gunships, a few Navy jets, and most likely a few others. My favorites would be A-10's and F-16's. It is a good feeling fixing a jet loaded with ammo, watching it take off and the return with little to no ammo. Really makes you understand and respect what they can do in the and on the ground. Been working 130's last couple of years and it is nothing exciting.

I supplied parts to the B1-B in Ellsworth AFB, SD. Some days I miss the sound of 120k lbs. of thrust in back of the Supply hanger.
I didn't take any of these photos, all the ones I were taken with 35mm.

No types except what I'm currently flying...Dash 8. I've been in the airlines for 3 years and havent done any corporate work to speak of.

Looking to see what options are out there so I'm open to any opportunity, especially in the Charlotte area which is where I'm from.

Tops on my list of "Thing I Worked On" was when I first started at an FBO the Maintenance Director said "go help those guys that came in Sunday, do whatever they ask you" It was the B29 FIFI with 18 cylinder Wright R 3350's and a B24 with 14 cylinder Pratt & Whitney R-1830's. Helped balance the pressure carbs and had to remove/clean/gap plugs on one engine of the B29 - 36 total on one engine.

"Best Ride" catagory I've had is a Lear 60 on test flight out of the P&W Service Center. Low fuel load, standing brake start (was sliding/chattering tires), full power - fast cars don't do it for me anymore, no comparison at all. The power to weight is right, Citation 560XL is a close second on pure takeoff acceleration to altitude. I would think the only thing quicker from the runway is military stuff. The bigger corporate stuff is nice, just not a wild ride.
