Discovery Channel's new show featuring Jeep adventures and survival

seems cool premiers tonight, just wanted to share

Just saw on the previews, the axle walking out on that sweet c clipped Dana 35. That's the axle I'd want to rely on in a jungle survival situation . Looks like having a vehicle in this survival situation is a hindrance vs being a help.

Hey guys, I'm watching the premiere show, on Discovery Channel, called one Car Too Far. It's actually a Jeep Wrangler. Bill & Gary have to drive their way out of a rain forest! It's like a survival show, but it is pretty interesting! C ame on tonight Sunday, 9-10pm. will re-air at 11pm. This is a new series. Grab your tape or dvd thingy! :burnout:

Watching it now. Meh

Seems ok but filled with misinformation

Guess using a 97-99 2.5L will give them more opportunities to work on while wheeling. Lol

it was blatant jeep corporate propoganda but hey I could have been watching honey boo boo child.

Jeep Heil! Jeep Heil! Jeep Heil!

1. I do find it interesting that they are using an 15 year old Jeep and not a JK or something, you'd think that's what Chrysler would want.
2. Curious if they are going to continue using this same truck for the whole series, and if it will be repaired (I'd assume basic mechanical things) and un-dented etc between shows so it always starts off "new"ish, and if they change/add upgrades for different episodes.

Seemed really gay for the twenty minutes I made myself watch it. But I've just got really tired of that type of show. Just like Ice Road Truckers I tried watching it last night and it got on my nerves and I use to love that show.

"A queer too far" is more like it. That asian dude is scared of anything alive. He is also very confident in his sckills but i never saw any credentials presented that qualified him as an offroad survival enthusiast. Besides, as already stated, in a situation where in stuck in the jungle, i could make better time just grabbing what supplies i need and leaving the vehicle behind. I tuned out after the "wu-dozing" comment. flipping back through the channels, i saw them trying to cross a stream on logs. i didnt care to see if they made it or not.

That's about where i quit watching it too. I couldn't stand it any more.

I thought it was pretty lame. Worked out to be more of a Wu-mercial. This will hurt more than it helps, imagine all the weekend warriors headed out wheelin!

Same thing i said! Looked at my wife after it was over and asked her how many people we would see in stock jeeps with "mud grips" gettin stuck everywhere. I KNOW ill be pullin some "cars" out.
On that note did it bother anyone that they constantly referred to it as a car?!

Wait a minute..... an Asian guy wheeling a moderately built late 90's TJ with a 4 cyl....

Marty Fan (NCJeeper) - did you get a TV show and didn't tell us?!?!?!?!?!?!
