a guy I work with got a open container ticket and he is trying to find out what is going to happen when he gos to court. Fine or what? Anyone have any idea?

had a buddy get one not too long ago and he got away with a fine. cant remember how much, but i dont think it was bad.

open container is a bench warrant NOT a traffic violation (I think my terminology is right, I know my premise is) Fine only no "points"...

yep, not a moving violation, so it should not affect his license or insurance. but it will cost.

Open Container laws are such bull shit....I love going through Tennessee to see the g/f's parents because they don't have open container laws.

Its NOT a bench warrant. A bench warrant is signed by a judge. Its a criminal summons to appear in court to answer to the charge that the subject has been charged with.

What are you a cop or something?

You have cop hair. :flipoff2:

it's not even a misdemeanor, it's an infraction. and not even a moving one at that. i'd pay it off and not have a take a day off work.

You were the reason I put my disclaimer, I knew Id screw the lingo up

Open container is BS. If you have a beer can in the bed of your truck, you could get cited for open container.
