open manifolds?

Yea, I ran mine about 10 miles that way to the exhaust shop. It was annoying as hell though!

Do it in the dark so you can see the fire coming out!

I have been told that the cold air sucking back into the manifolds can warp exhaust valves. Dont know if its true or not...Let us know!:popcorn:

I would imagine theres more than enough gas flow to keep any cold air from flowing backwards up into the manifold and across the valves. I'm sure you'll be fine to drive it and go get the exhaust done.

I would do it in the daylight if it is cold out and you get on and off the throttle it is a very real possiblity of warping a valve. If you do it just take it slow and steady no hard acceleration or quick let offs.
