opinion on sliders

i made a set of sliders for my 88 k5 over a year ago and never mounted them. the reason i never mounted them is, i am unsure of the best way to mount them.
should they be mounted to the body or the frame, i don't care either way, i just want to do it the best way.
if mounted to the frame, should i weld to the frame or plate them and bolt them?
if mounted to the body there are plenty of ways for me to do it.
i am just wanting an opinion on the best way to do it and why.

I plate them and then weld them onto the frame

Mine are also welded to my frame (well the unibody, but same difference) but they are also attached to the rockers

Weld to the frame. Plate the frame first.
