I'm looking to hear some opinions/knowledge about a lt1 Chevy 350. It's out of a 1994 Buick Roadmaster. Apparently, its the same setup that was in the z28s. I had a 350 in my Jeep and learned for this one I definitely want fuel injection and have decent power without having to do too much to the motor. I'm wondering if anyone knows what kind of power this thing makes and just looking to hear some opinions about this motor.

Let me know what you think,
Chris

It is an iron head motor while the camaro LT1 is aluminum. I know the camaros were rated around 275 hp in stock form. Being it is a 1994 motor it will have a non-vented optispark (distributor) which does not like water one single bit. UIsually when you get them wet they are toast and no joy to change

Hmm... it's looking like a pass now. I appreciate that info.
Would the one from a camaro be a better bet? If so, what years would be good to look at?
Would you have any recommendations for a 350 that is fuel injected and makes decent power for a fair cost. I know all three in the same sentence, but would you have any idea?

Late model LS series. Price some 5.3l You gan get them fairly cheap. Low miles, decent power, Fuel injected, Will bolt up to older trannys, etc.

tune ups are a bitch, snatch a motor out of a 94 or 95 truck and you should be ok. My surburban and my bosses truck are both 95's and are a normal 350.
