Opinions on mounting power steering cooler

I have had this cooler laying around for a while and decided tonight to hook it up. I have plenty of room in front of the radiator for it. Just trying not to remove the radiator to install it. Rather not lose all my coolant.

My question is, with it mounted as its mocked up in the picture, will I run into problems with trapping air at the top? Will it be too much effort to force the fluid up? Inlet and outlet are at the bottom of cooler in this orientation. One line is directly plumbed into the outlet of the steering box and other back to the pump. Should I just make a mount for it to be horizontal?
Thanks for the opinions.

And if it makes a difference the top of the cooler would then be above my power steering pump. Stock SBC pump to Saginaw steering box.
