I want to get everyone's opinion on something. I don't ever see these listed on here, and from the research I've done...either I'm missing something...or these are a unique grab

1992 Mazda B2600i 4x4 Extended cab 4 cyl

What is everyones thoughts on these trucks?

Just curious

Not looking for aftermarket...
Stock is OK...Reliability is a must...
I understand though since mostly a stock only option...not going to be mentioned on here much.

One of my neighbors put nearly 400,000 miles on an 89 4x4. I think he said he only replaced the brakes, belts and hoses oil and tires. Not diff fluid, or tranny fluid or timing belt!! In the end..It was a computer problem...or something like that, so he traded it to a guy, who traded it to a guy and it has never been seen again. Great truck though!

Well there is a 99% possibility that I will be swapping my Suburban Thursday or Friday for one with 96K on it.

By 99%, I mean that unless the world ends, I'm swapping this week.

Currently it has Mud Dawgs on it, and as awesome as they look, I'll probably sell those tires and try to get some more "Stock" tires

So I don't jinx it, if/when I get it, I'll make pics and post them.

That is the kind of info I have been finding on these...

Well it is in my Basement
I'll post pics soon. I want to get stock size tires on it...so the Mud Dawgs are up for swap/sale...

That ad is posted as well...

It needs a few small things

O2 sensor
U joints I believe (has 3)
New CV boots in the front

97K on it.

That's it...

Stay tuned...

I'll eventually put the roll in bedliner in it...
Everything in time...

one thing to consider w/ that kind of low miles - is it b/c they only drove it 5k a year for a loooong time, or did it sit dormant for 5 years? The latter could be bad juju.

Looking ar the AutoCheck...
IT was option 1
92 - 00 it was driven 63K
01 - 07 it was driven 11K (strange but all with the first owner...)
08 - now it was driven 22K...

Beats me...truck seems good so far..

I just replaced the head and timing chain on my dads 89 this past. what a pita.

I'm worried that the 31s will be too hard on the transmission...and I know it kills any gas mileage I could possibly get out of it.

I doubt it. I have a friend with a '92 Dodge Ram 50 with 33's and he's absolute hell on a vehicle. He had 34" LTB's on it at one time and it was perfectly fine. Stock 5-spd transmission. Still going strong! I just think that the 31's suit your truck fine.

They do look damn good on it. If we have a harsh winter, I may want to keep them at least until Spring...

But seriously, when was the last harsh Winter in Hickory?

True, I'd keep em just for looks at least. I don't think you'd be satisfied with anything less than a 31" because there'd be so much of a gap between the fenders and the tires.
