my wife sent me a message on the ole book of faces that gov. Cooper said that during the state of emergency residents of N.C. are alllowed to run ORD (off-road diesel) in highway permitted vehicle. Anybody else heard this?

Apparently I read too much into it. Doesn't state anything about specifics.

but here is the rub.....how is that gonna fair with these tighter emission, particulated, reburnin, complex systems. I personally predict a few denied warranty claims.

unless its just the dye....

I wouldn't personally. I have been dipped before. Nc is bad about it, and you better believe they are going to be dipping trucks after all of this is over with. Doesn't take much to have some red on that tampon stick, and the fines are insane. No I did not have to pay any, thank god i wasn't running anything like trans fluid or ord.

I was under the impression that ord had more sulphur in it than ulsd and that it was much better for the older trucks.

It's just dye, off road equipment has the same emissions stuff on them now. The problem will be when the state of emergency is lifted and the dye is still in your tank...

Yep, all the equipment we build now is tier 4 compliant. The only thing we build that is not is for export to south America.

nope, it's just dyed.

I knew of a guy once who outfitted his k20 with ord in one tank and reg in the other. and would switch between according to his purposes
