Is there an online resource to find actual MSRP for older vehicles? In this case it would be a 1990.

That actually doesn't seem that far off for 1990. Trucks used to be just for working. They have gone up a lot in the last 25 years now that they are more acceptable as an everyday vehicle. 40 grand? In 1990, you could get a 3/4 ton Suburban 4x4 Diesel for half that. I found a .pdf at the michigan.gov website that lists a bunch of 1990 vehicle base prices. You can see it here.

$15,000 SEEMS low, but I'm not sure, and an insurance quote requires original MSRP. Insurance agent THOUGHT it was more around $40,000.
