A house fire next to my high school spread and burned about half the football field

Class of 1981.

A magical time that you young'ns will never know or understand....a time when the country wasn't controlled by lawyers and the overhanging fear of a lawsuit. When businesses and medical did what was right, instead of what might keep them from being sued. When there weren't stickers on ladders telling you not to fall. You learnt that on the playground, where falling might actually hurt a little bit. A whole lot less rules, signs, fences.
